What Are Prep Labs?

Uplift Dance Prep Labs are 90-minute pop-up intensives designed to help dancers build strength, confidence, and clean execution during school dance team tryout season.

Each Prep Lab focuses on one specific tryout skill, allowing dancers to train with intention, receive detailed corrections, and gain confidence—without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Switch Leaps

PBT Strength & Stability

• Sunday, February 8, 2026 | 2:00–3:30 PM

• Core control, balance, and alignment

• Builds consistency in turns, jumps, and endurance

Turns in Seconds

• Monday, February 16th, 2026 | 2:00–3:30 PM

• Proper placement and technique for second turns

• Controlling momentum, spotting, and clean finishes

• Building consistency and confidence

Turning Discs

• Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 3:00–4:30 PM

• Using turning discs to improve rotation mechanics

• Strengthening ankles, knees, and core

• Helping dancers understand how turns work—not just force them

Head Springs & Kip-Ups

• Saturday, March 8, 2026 | 3:00–4:30 PM

• Progressive drills for power and confidence

• Strength-based approach for safe, correct execution

Skill Refinement Lab

• Individual feedback and corrections
